The stone. The center is a lab grown pear of 3 carats, rounded at one end and pointed at the other, a teardrop that lengthens the hand. E color sits in the colorless range. VVS2 clarity means any inclusions take a loupe to find. Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds, grown above ground with the same hardness, fire and brilliance as mined stones, at a fraction of the price.

The setting. Claw prongs with a half band of round accent diamonds, with 0.7 carats of lab grown round diamonds beside the center. Every stone is held open to the light. The band is about 1.8 mm wide and the ring weighs about 3.7 grams in 14K gold. Weight changes a little with size.

Size and fit. Sizes 4 to 9 with the half sizes, in yellow gold or white gold. White gold keeps the whole ring bright. Yellow gold puts a warm frame around a colorless stone. If the ring is a surprise, measure a ring she already wears on that finger, or message us and we will walk you through it.

Care. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush under the stone where lotion collects. Keep it away from chlorine and harsh cleaners, store it apart from other pieces, and take it off for heavy work.
